Volunteers assist in all areas of Reef House programming. Volunteers are always needed to serve as mentors, tutors, and sports enthusiasts. But we are always looking for volunteers with special skills related to fine arts, crafts, dance, music, computer technology and more. If you have a special skill or interest that you would like to share, we want to hear from you!
Our kid’s safety is our number one priority; therefore, a background check is required of all volunteer applicants. The background check is covered at our expense.
If you have any questions and/or interested in one of these opportunities, please contact us.
In our after school program, children experience
individual tutoring and fun learning activities to enhance what
they’ve learned in school. Volunteers are needed during
this time to work with the kids as they complete their homework. Volunteer homework assistance is needed in the areas of math, science, language arts, music, reading and social studies. Volunteers hours are between 3:15 pm and 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.
Skills: Basic skills to middle school level.
The arts component of Reef House After School Program plays an integral role in the development of our kids. Volunteer needs range from painting and screen-printing to cooking, storytelling, and woodworking, with everything in between! Volunteers with varying levels of experience are welcome.
Skills: Basic skills in any medium are required.
Mentoring is a rewarding and fun way to make a positive impact
in the life of a child by simply sharing your time. Currently,
we are seeking volunteers willing to mentor the ten boys and ten
girls that attend Reef House Learning Center. We provide training
and on-going support, in addition to group activities. Mentors
should be at least 18 years old with some experience working with
youth. Come on board and grow with us!
Note: A background check will be conducted.
